Identifying the “Note” of the Personality

Every manifest aspect of the Divine, whether a being, a form, a sound, a color, or a thought, carries a unique vibratory note that expresses its essential nature and purpose. This note is the tonal signature of its divine origin, resonating in harmony with the greater symphony of universal life. From the personality to the soul of a human, the heart of a planet or the aura of a star, all expressions of divinity are distinguished by their particular frequency, which aligns them with a specific ray, function, or evolutionary intent within the cosmic order.

The following is an exercise in the identification of the personality “note”, which leads to the chord radiating from the harmonic convergence of the personality and Soul notes.

Playing notes on a piano can be a valuable tool in determining the personality note because it offers a precise, audible spectrum of frequencies that can be physically and intuitively sensed. When a person listens to or vocalizes along with individual notes or chords, a resonance may be felt more strongly with certain tones. These resonant tones often correspond with the vibrational field of the personality and can evoke emotional responses, mental clarity, or physical sensations—especially in the throat, chest, or head. This process of tonal reflection can help reveal the dominant frequency that characterizes the individual's outer expression.

Through regular experimentation and contemplative listening, one may find a particular note or tonal center that consistently feels harmonizing, grounding, or even activating. This is often the "personality note", the tone that aligns most naturally with the current vibratory state of the personality vehicle. By identifying and working with this note on the piano, whether through repetition, chanting, or silent attunement, the practitioner begins to bring greater awareness to their energetic field. Over time, this can lead to intentional refinement, helping the personality align more closely with the soul note, leading toward greater inner harmony and spiritual integration.

The Alta Major center plays a crucial role in the process of identifying the note of the personality, as described in The Hidden Power of Music and the Ageless Wisdom teachings. Located at the base of the skull where the spine meets the head, the Alta Major functions as a subtle gateway between the head centers (particularly the Ajna and Crown) and the heart, serving as a synthesizing point for spiritual impression, intuitive knowing, and sound transmission. When working with voice and vibration, this center acts as a receiver and amplifier of higher frequencies that seek to harmonize the personality with the soul’s purpose.

As the note of the personality is intoned or perceived, the Alta Major aids in bridging the inner spiritual sound (the “soul note”) with the outer expression. It is through this center that the sound current can pass downward into the body or upward into the higher centers, depending on the direction of focus. When consciously activated through breath, posture, and vocal resonance, especially when the tone is directed with awareness from the head, the Alta Major helps integrate and stabilize the new vibratory pattern. This not only refines the personality note but also aligns it more closely with the soul's harmonic signature, making the individual a clearer channel for lighted service and spiritual expression.
